Event Buzz: Beach Picnic on 16th Oct

This event is being organized in collaboration with  WWF  Pakistan. We will specifically be focusing on their mangrove forest preservation and marine turtle program.

Schedule of the event:

• Arrival at Wetland Center WWF at Sands Pit
• Documentary and presentation from WWF about mangrove forest and marine turtle program
• Interaction with baby turtles
• Planting mangrove saplings
• 35 mins boat ride through the mangrove forest
• Arrival at the hut
• Lunch
• Relax at the beach
• Tea
• Departure

Special instructions:

• WWF has specially requested that please DONOT press the baby turtles too hard as it might kill them or seriously injure them.
• Please be punctual as we have an appointment with WWF

Suggestions:

• Wear comfortable and light clothes.
• Bring an extra set of clothes if you intend to go into the water
• You can design your custom name tag to attach to your mangrove sapling
• Try and learn as much as possible about on going WWF projects and see how you can contribute to their cause.
• Bring your cameras and take lots of pictures
• Pray for good weather
• ENJOY! :D

We have sent an invitation to the WWF officials to join us for lunch so you can find out more about their projects and aims in a more informal environment.
